Set at the end of Matavai Bay where Polynesians and Europeans met for the first time, leaning against the island’s green mountains, Le Tahiti is for many of our guests an introduction to French Polynesia, or the last sight they will see before leaving.
Le Tahiti is a lung, an oasis of coolness a few minutes from the city, on the northern shore of the island. Our visitors will never lose sight of Tahiti’s green colors, in the gardens, the public spaces, the restaurant or the spa. Everywhere they go, the serene energy of plants is part of the experience.

In our hotel, nature has pride of place, lush and plentiful. It generously displays a thousand shades of green. The palette is endless, and always enhanced by the beach’s black volcanic sand.

It subtly deploys all the colors of our side of the world, from the tender green of the tiare bud about to bloom, through the forest green of the ferns in our headdress, to the blueish green of the ape leaf that we chose to represent our property.

The ape leaf, which can grow to 7 ft, is the symbol of the tranquil strength of nature, of growth, of ever-multiplying joy and the certainty of revival. Le Tahiti promises a stay where vitality and serenity will walk hand in hand.

The Polynesian legend tells us that greenery was born from the feathers of Ta’aroa, the creator god, after they fell to earth. Everywhere in Tahiti, plants are the messengers of the gods and of the natural forces they represent.
